{"id":2010,"date":"2026-09-21T13:27:47","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T01:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.awanuilabs.co.nz\/central\/taranaki\/?p=2010"},"modified":"2026-09-21T13:31:41","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T01:31:41","slug":"referrer-newsletter-18-september-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.awanuilabs.co.nz\/central\/taranaki\/2026\/09\/21\/referrer-newsletter-18-september-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Referrer newsletter: 18 September 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please share important information with your staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-atomic-blocks-ab-accordion ab-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"ab-accordion-title\">eOrders Update<\/summary><div class=\"ab-accordion-text\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requestor selection &#8211; effective 12 October 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When completing a community eOrder, the requestor selection will be restricted to clinicians <strong>who are set up<\/strong> at the facility from which the request is being placed. The facility is provided to eOrder by your practice management system (PMS). When you select the magnifying glass to search for a requestor, the system will only display clinicians associated with that facility. The search will automatically display up to 50 results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This change has been introduced because we have been receiving requests where the selected ordering clinician is not set up at the facility the request is being placed from. This can result in laboratory results being sent to the incorrect facility. If you cannot find the clinician you are looking for, it may be because they have <strong>not yet been set up <\/strong>at that facility.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instructions for searching for ordering clinicians are available here: <a href=\"https:\/\/eorder.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2026-Adding-Requesters-and-Copy-To-Clinicians.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026 \u2013 Adding Requesters and Copy-To Clinicians<\/a><br><br><em>Please note: This change applies to community eOrder forms only.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>General&nbsp;reminders<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Staff Set-Up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New staff <strong>must <\/strong>be set up with eOrder access at their facility \u2014 this does not happen automatically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the staff member is responsible for receiving laboratory results, they will also need a laboratory code set up in addition to their eOrder access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set-up can be requested using the appropriate new requestor webform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.awanuilabs.co.nz\/south\/otagosouthland\/referrers\/new-referrers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Amending or Requesting Additional Testing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have already submitted an eOrder and need to amend the request or add additional testing, you can do this directly through the eOrder system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no need to call or email the laboratory.
