The intention is to promote best use of infectious disease diagnostic tests to optimise outcomes for patients and reduce low-value testing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These resources are designed to be applicable to the majority of situations, however they will not cover all situations, and do not supplant the need for clinical judgement. These serve as a guide only, and we always recommend discussion with the clinical microbiologist if there is ongoing uncertainty as to the best approach in a given situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We intend to grow this resource over time, and are always interested in feedback.
