Awanui Labs has recently completed a review of our antenatal testing processes. As a result, the “HIV opt-off” option has now been removed from all test request platforms, including:

• eOrder system
• Paper and PDF request forms
• Any manual forms created within PMS systems (please update these accordingly)

This change is intended to reduce the risk of inadvertently selecting “HIV opt-off” in situations where a full antenatal screening panel is required.

If a patient genuinely wishes to decline HIV testing, please order the required antenatal tests individually, rather than using the antenatal panel.
