Awanui Labs Wellington, Wellington Hospital anatomical pathology department wishes to advise our current histology reporting timeframes.
As at 10 February 2024 :
- 80% of histology results are reported within 10 working days of receipt of the specimen at the laboratory
- 90% of results are reported within 12 working days
- 98% of results are reported within 25 working days.
If your case is clinically urgent please note this clearly on the request form and it will be given priority.
An email to wlg.pathologist@awanuilabs.co.nz about an urgent case is also appreciated and will ensure priority. Please take these delays into consideration when booking patients for follow-up appointments.
