APEX has notified Awanui that members across the Northern, Central and South Island regions will withdraw their labour from Monday 2 November to Wednesday 4 November inclusive, a continuous 72-hour period.

Due to this industrial action, many of our collection centres will be closed from 2-4 November 2026. They will reopen with normal hours on Thursday 5 November.

Collection centres in the Wairarapa are not affected by this industrial action and will be open normal hours over these days.

Please put off your visit on these days unless your GP or healthcare provider has marked your tests as urgent.

The following collection centres will be OPEN from 2-4 November:

• Kilbirnie – 68 Bay Road – 0730-1500 hrs
• Porirua – 6 Hatham Place – 0800-1500 hrs
• Paraparaumu – 124 Rimu Road – 0730-1430 hrs
• Hutt Hospital Outpatients – 0830-1700 hrs
• Wellington Hospital Outpatients – 0730-1700 hrs
• Kenepuru Hospital Outpatients – 0800-1630 hrs
