Notification of Industrial Action has been received for a partial withdrawal of services at Awanui Labs Wellington from Monday 28 April to Sunday 11 May 2025.

The industrial action will impact referrers and patients as stated below:

Additional Testing (Test Adds)

• Additional tests (Test adds) will be delayed for samples already received in the laboratory
• Consider ordering all the tests you need for each patient
• If urgent additional tests are required, we advise a new request form, and a new sample be sent to the laboratory.

Collection centres

• Patients who are required to pay for their blood tests may have a longer wait than usual, or they may be redirected to an alternative collection centre.
