Labour day
All Awanui Labs collection centres and laboratory will be closed on Monday 27 October. All centres will reopen on Tuesday 28th October. The New Plymouth collection centre at 179 Gill St will be open on Saturday 25 October from 8.00 – 11.00am.
HbA1c Test Update
Awanui Labs has identified that between April and 11 July 2025, some HbA1c test results in Wellington and Taranaki may have been higher than expected. Seminal Fluid Collection for Fertility

HbA1C – test results review
On 31 March 2025, Awanui Labs introduced a new method for HbA1c testing used in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes. All of our collection centres will be closed on Monday June 2 for the King’s birthday public holiday. The Gill St collection centre in New Plymouth will be open on Saturday 31 May between 8am and 11am.
